On your phone

What your name earns, and who has been reading it, on the phone already in your pocket.

No public download. The app is built and it runs. There is no app-store listing and no install path.

The phone in your hand already proves who you are to everybody else. It opens your bank on your face, taps you through the gate, and carries whatever licence or card your state has put in a wallet app. A dozen times a day something asks that device to vouch for you, and a dozen times a day it does.

Every one of those answers is spent the moment it is given, and it belongs to whoever asked for it. The phone can confirm the right person is holding it, and it has never been able to say a word about who that person has been.

~Alter on your phone is the other half. One name that is yours instead of theirs, your ~handle, with a record under it read from what you have actually done. Anyone can check for free that your name exists, and reading past that costs the reader money, happens only with your consent, and that money comes to you.

What opens on it

Your record opens on the phone the same as anywhere else, so what you have earned, who has been asking and what you allow are all things you can see and change from your pocket.

No password and nothing to paste. Your face or fingerprint opens the app, and the credential it holds stays on the device, out of your cloud backup.

You

Your ~handle, your attunement as a word rather than a number or a rank, and the daily recognition feed.

Threads

The threads you are holding, and the trail you leave while you are working towards them.

Income

What you have earned, what is pending and what has settled, and the log of who has been reading you.

Messages

People, devices and agents, in one inbox.

Agents

The agents acting in your name, what each of them may read, and taking that back from your pocket. agent rails.

Devices

Everywhere else your handle is held and what is reachable right now, and you can send a real action to any of it from here.

Verify

Check whether somebody is known to the field, or hold your phone to theirs and have it answered in person.

Consent

What may be read from you is set on the phone, category by category, and takes effect everywhere your handle is held. the consent model.

Notifications

You are told when somebody reads you, and the state of the field sits in your quick settings without ever showing your handle.

Account

Your settings, and the credential itself, in one scroll.

Share sheet

A link, a photo, a file or a piece of text goes in from the share sheet you already use, landing in your own inbox or with a person or collective you name.

Parts of this are still wiring up, and the app says which rather than failing quietly.

One record, every window

The phone is one way to hold your record and it is not the only one. The record is the same one ~alter holds everywhere else, so a handle claimed at the command line is the handle this app opens as, and what you set to be readable holds on both.
